KONAD! Need I say more...

Just popping in to say I'm still alive...although I'm drowning in a sea of test prep material. This will all be over next Saturday but don't expect new posts until the following Monday. A girl has to celebrate after all :)

If anyone is able to stick with me through this I promise you will be greatly rewarded! In fact, my first Konad order came in the mail today. It's going to take me some time to get the hang of it and as long as you don't laugh I'll show you my very first Konad manicure EVER! Ok..no laughing. Seriously! (I used image plate M63)
Orly Rage stamp over Essie Lilacism
Sally Hansen Spark stamp over Essie Lilacism
I'll post a more in-depth description of my first Konad experience ASAP. Thanks everyone for your support and for sticking with me. Have a fabulous Friday!!! :)

Claire's Mood Peaceful/Confident

I'm not sure if I like this one or not. Its a really nice teal color but it's just does nothing for my skin. What do you think?
Peaceful (cold) - natural matte finish (no topcoat)
Peaceful (cold) - with topcoat (SV)

Confident (warm)- with topcoat (SV)
I haven't used my new Mood Struck polish from Beauty by Brittany but it looks to be very similar (if not a dead-on-dupe). I'm so on the fence about these color changing polishes. Your thoughts?

Rescue Beauty Lounge Under the Stars

This one is perhaps my biggest nail polish disappointment to date. I ordered this during the RBL 50% off sale after coveting it for months! I just love dark colors with unexpected shimmer. I mean...just look at the bottle!
Look at the blue glitter! Unfortunately, I found what many other have also found. The glitter sticks to the side of the bottle and give a really inaccurate representation of what the actually color is on the nail.

Pretty...but just not what I was expecting. BUT...having said all that I still can't say enough about the formula. It was opaque in one coat. Coverage was massively even and smooth. I just didn't dig the color. (I hope lightning doesn't strike me for bashing the holy grail of polish brands!)

BTW...sorry my pics are so washed out. I took them while snowed in...so the light was really bright!

ColourLovers

Since my blog is fairly new I'm still working on customizing the layout and design to make sure it looks unique. I found this website through How About Orange, one of my favorite non-nail polish blogs, and had to share it! Its called ColourLovers and it has a tool that allows you to create your own backgrounds. I've always loved paisely prints and I'm on a jewel tone kick. Using that inspiration it took me all of 5 minutes to register and to create this little beauty:

And just because I can't do a post without talking about nail polish...look at what my dog did to my RBL Under the Stars!

Do you have any blog design advice? Have your dogs (or cats, children, etc) ever destroyed a bottle of nail polish?
